*WE ARE HIRING – GROUP OPERATIONS DIRECTOR* *Lanka Food Palace UK Ltd* is seeking an experienced and commercially minded *Group Operations Director* to join our growing organisation and provide senior operational and strategic leadership across our existing and developing food-service activities. SOC Code: 1139 – Functional Managers and Directors not Elsewhere Classified About the Role As Group Operations Director, you will play a key role in ensuring operational excellence, controlled growth and consistent standards across our business. Working closely with the *Board of Directors*, you will oversee multi-site operations, workforce development, purchasing and cost control, business development and the implementation of the company's expansion plans. You will also play an important role in developing our planned *Sri Lankan spice import, distribution and wholesale operation**, supporting the continued growth of the Lanka Food Palace brand. Key Responsibilities * Lead strategic and operational planning across multiple activities and locations. * Coordinate multi-site operations and monitor business performance. * Develop workforce plans and oversee staff management, training and development. * Manage purchasing, suppliers, stock levels and operational costs. * Establish and maintain effective operational systems, policies and service standards. * Coordinate administration and payroll processes. * Identify and assess potential new outlet and business opportunities. * Support the implementation of the company's expansion strategy. * Develop and implement the planned Sri Lankan spice import, distribution and wholesale operation. * Analyse operational performance and identify opportunities for improvement. * Prepare reports and operational recommendations for the Board. * Work closely with outlet managers, supervisors and operational teams as the business expands. * Promote consistency, efficiency, quality and strong customer-service standards across the organisation. About You We are looking for a confident and capable senior manager with strong operational and commercial experience. You should have: * Proven experience in senior operational or business management. * Experience managing staff and/or multi-site operations. * Strong budgeting, procurement and cost-control skills. * Experience in business development and strategic planning. * The ability to analyse operational performance and implement practical improvements. * Strong organisational, leadership and decision-making skills. * Excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities. * Relevant qualifications and/or demonstrable professional experience appropriate to a senior management position.
